Summer Status
Bullet point one: as most of you are probably already aware by now, my schedule for this summer is an intermittent, rotating one. As a result, I am unable to serve in the capacity of both Guild Master and Raid Leader, along with overall badass for this time period. Mustsmash has been assigned the duty of leading our raids for the coming months leading up to Cataclysm. Raids will still be led in the same professional manner and looting will still be a fair system. I strongly encourage all of you to continue our pursuits in ICC (both 10 and 25 man), as well as Heroic ICC with Mustsmash. Mustsmash has been leading the majority of our 25 man raids all the way back to the times of Naxxaramus. He brings not only his leadership skills, but his strategic planning and precise execution. Mustsmash has been a ranking Class Leader of the guild for over a year and has been with us much longer. He was recently promoted to Officership as a result of his outstanding dedication to the guild. He brings to the 10 man raids this same superb skill and he looks forward to leading. Please join me in congratulating him on his new-found position.
Moving on to my second bullet point…raiding attendance has been on the slight decline over the past few months. It is a combination of busy schedules, lack of the ability to sit in one position for four hours, and an overall burned out feeling of the game. I do not expect these numbers to improve too much until the expansion pack is released. IF YOU ARE ONE OF THESE PLAYERS WHO HAS DECLINED IN THEIR PLAYING TIME, I am not necessarily mad at you. I do hope it is for reasons other than guild leadership or progression. I hope that you will call the forums often to stay informed and keep up to date with what is happening in the guild. I also hope that you return as soon as you can for the next expansion pack. Cataclysm will be our time to shine on the server. We have lagged behind some in the past two because of our numbers, but this will not be the case again. Some of the officers (Nycterwinn, Arthorius, Clawdio) have poured large amounts of time and effort with me in preparing the guild for the expansion pack. We are looking forward to the guild levelling and abilities that will come with the many new exciting class/race combinations. I do hope that if you are still playing that you will not become discouraged because of the lack of raids; it is a game-wide issue.
